The SK 04 Komposit from the Stefan Knopp Edition is available in several fascinating surface finishes. The tabletop is composed of several striking wooden boards. Though the production process may appear simple, the overall effect is primeval and resolute: The incisive marks left behind by the chainsaw which separated the planks from the tree trunk remain visible - and are even accentuated using refined surface finishing techniques. The SK 04 table adds to the Stefan Knopp Edition, offering a table between the SK 01 Monolith and the SC 41 table. Like the SC 41, the tabletop is glued, however, it uses as few boards as possible. The tabletop is 5 cm wide and is thus stronger than the SC 41. The particular characteristics of the Monolith are also integrated into the SK 04 table. So, the table also has a wane edge and a chainsaw structure. The impression it conveys is thus very close to the SK 01 Monolith. The unique surface treatment gives every tabletop a particular look. Hence, every SK 04 table of the Stefan Knopp Edition from Janua becomes a real one-of-a-kind.
